Monday Happyness

I always feel a little bit blue on a Monday, so I want to to try and overcome that by posting something happy every Monday :-) A picture, a quote, anything that inspires happyness to start the week in a positive mood! Hopefully next week I will be able to post this in the morning, might be more inspiring then for the rest of the day, I know it's a bit late now!

Freebie Friday

I'd like to share with you a little freebie every Friday, I am addicted to home and crafts blogs and this comes from one of them, Making it Lovely, which is oh so lovely indeed!

I fell in love with this print straight away, I think I will print this and hang it in the spare room for all my guests to enjoy, I love the colours and this song always makes me smile.

You can dowload it here.

Enjoy! x

I am back!

Happy Friday to everyone!

Got back from Italy on Tuesday, had a great time with family and friends, thanks to everyone for making that week so very special!

I spent one afternoon upstairs in the attic with mum, sorting out all her fabric stash and she gave me loads of goodies to take home! Shame I could only fit so much in the suitcase and didn't manage to bring them all back, but I did bring a few scraps of fabrics and ribbons which I cannot wait to get crafty with!

I am thinking vintage..

darker tones for some evening brooches maybe?

Italy, here I come

Hello my friends, how are you on this Monday morning?

Despite being Monday, I have to say I am really excited because I am travelling to Italy tomorrow, I have not seen my parents for about 4 months now and I am looking forward to enjoy mum's cooking! It will also be a good chance to catch up with my friends, though a week always goes by so quickly, wish I could stay more!

I am off packing now so I will leave you with some pictures from my hometown, Ferrara:

Have a rocking week everyone, speak to you all soon xxx

Handmade Collage Wall Art

Just added two new items to my shop...I did make these some time ago but never had chance to take some pictures to show you, I finally took the time today and here they are!

soft pink & green

darker pink tones

My creations usually come from the need to make something unique as a gift to a special friend or dearest family member. Sometime instead I just feel like refreshing my home décor with something I know I am not going to find mass produced on the high street.

I use heavyweight, die-cut chipboard letters and patterned paper then decorate with pretty embellishments such as rhinestones, ribbons, hearts, flowers, stickers. No two pictures are the same!
This cute collage would look lovely displayed in your kitchen, hallway or conservatory, otherwise why not treat someone you love?
You can buy these here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/IlariaRocks
Thanks and happy weekend x

I ♥ Pinterest

For those of you who ignore what Pinterest is...you don't know what you are missing!

Pinterest is one of the best online tools ever...I stumbled across it while reading a blog once and I got hooked on it straight away...in a few words, Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that helps you organize all the pretty things you find on the web...once you installed the "pin it" button you need to be carefull because it is seriously addictive...or is it just me?

I find it so useful to gather inspiration on projects as you can see all the pictures together in one place...for example this is what I put together when I was asked to come up with some wedding stationery with a shabby chic feel...the stationery mock up has now been sent to the client and I really hope she likes it because I can't wait to start working on it!
