sometimes I find it easier to express myself with pictures rather than words...here are a few snapshots of my life during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations...

last month my gorgeous little cousin Lucy celebrated her 8th birthday. 8 years, the same lenght of time I have been living in England, which means I have missed all of her birthdays so far and most of all I am missing all her growing up in general. I look forward to the day when maybe her mum and dad will send her to visit her big cousin in Manchester! 


I wrapped up some pressies for her and here is the result...I used loads of blooms of different materials and finshed them off with lots of sparkling gems which I know she loves. I personalised her card with a picture of her and me taken about 2 years ago.

10 years today

If you have been following this blog for a while, you'll know already how much I am in love with celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Today is one of those days, when my Man and I remember 10 years ago when we first met. So last night I spent some time going through ten years of pictures together and chose a few to celebrate each year we have known each other and we have been together.

2002 was the year of the first time the Man came to visit me in Italy, our first trip to Venice together, a weekend in the lakes and in Edinburgh...

2003 was a romantic Valentine's weekend in Florence, camping, walking up Snowdon and visiting Stratford Upon Avon...

2004 brought the birth of my little cousin Lucia, a summer holiday in Rome, skiing in Northern Italy and a trip to Norfolk...

2005 was the year I moved to Manchester and we moved in together, mum and dad came to visit and we also went back to Italy in the summer for a holiday...

2006...I lost most of my pictures that year as my laptop broke! But the memories are still there...in the lakes with mum and dad, the Ferrari museum, playing with my two year old cousin...

...the higlight of 2007 was definitely our trip to Australia, six weeks travelling up the east coast, our first Christmas together and we spent it downunder

2008 was the birth of little cousin Evan, the first friends' weddings and we got engaged!

2009 saw us two weeks travelling in Thailand, bottling wine in Italy, a weekend in Paris and one in Brussels, a sunny holiday on the Red Sea...

2010 is the birth of little cousin Isla, we get married and honeymoon in Greece, our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs...

...last year was an amazing two weeks trip to New Zealand, celebrating our first wedding anniversary and the first Christmas spent together in Italy.

And here is to many more years yet to come!

Princess Pea's 2nd Birthday

Hello all and happy Friday.
I am sorry I have been away from the blog for a long time, so much has been happening and it has taken me away from all my "creative" jobs. I have however been making a few greeting cards, mainly for family and friends. I really need to pull myself together and create some packs for sale!
I have been having some fun as well, this included a 2nd birthday party last Saturday, it was my little cousin Isla's birthday. We affectionately call her Pricess Pea :-)

As you can see there was lots and lots of pink everywhere! Including the card I made for her, with loads of flower blossoms and sparkly things which I know she loves.
